Slope stability analysis based on a multigrid method using a nonlinear 3D finite element model

摘要: The rigid-body limit equilibrium method cannot reflect the actual stress distribution in a rock mass, and the finite-element-based strength reduction method also has some problems with respect to convergence. To address these problems, a multi-grid method was adopted in this study to establish a structural grid for finite element computation and a slip surface grid for computing slope stability safety factors. This method can be used to determine the stability safety factor for any slip surface or slide block through a combination of nonlinear finite element analysis and limit equilibrium analysis. An ideal elastic–plastic incremental analysis method based on the Drucker–Prager yield criterion was adopted in the nonlinear finite element computation. Elasto-plastic computation achieves good convergence for both small load steps and large load steps and can increase computation precision to a certain extent. To increase the scale and accuracy of the computation, TFINE, a finite element parallel computation program, was used to analyze the influence of grid density on the accuracy of the computation results and was then applied to analysis of the stability of the Jinping high slope. A comparison of the results with results obtained using the rigid-body limit equilibrium method showed that the slope stability safety factors determined using finite element analysis were greater than those obtained using the rigid-body limit equilibrium method and were in better agreement with actual values because nonlinear stress adjustment was considered in the calculation.

Hybrid optimization algorithm for modeling and management of micro grid connected system

摘要: In this paper, a hybrid optimization algorithm is proposed for modeling and managing the micro grid (MG) system. The management of distributed energy sources with MG is a multi-objective problem which consists of wind turbine (WT), photovoltaic (PV) array, fuel cell (FC), micro turbine (MT) and diesel generator (DG). Because, perfect economic model of energy source of the MG units are needed to describe the operating cost of the output power generated, the objective of the hybrid model is to minimize the fuel cost of the MG sources such as FC, MT and DG. The problem formulation takes into consideration the optimal configuration of the MG at a minimum fuel cost, operation and maintenance costs as well as emissions reduction. Here, the hybrid algorithm is obtained as artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm, which is used in two stages. The first stage of the ABC gets the optimal MG configuration at a minimum fuel cost for the required load demand. From the minimized fuel cost functions, the operation and maintenance cost as well as the emission is reduced using the second stage of the ABC. The proposed method is implemented in the Matlab/Simulink platform and its effectiveness is analyzed by comparing with existing techniques. The comparison demonstrates the superiority of the proposed approach and confirms its potential to solve the problem.

本文根据中国国情,提出“智能负载”这一新的理念。通过物联网将智能负载和智能电网结合起来构成“非并网多能源协同智能电网系统”,该系统的核心是将中国大量的高耗能产业通过必要的技术创新,改造成能够适应风电等可再生能源和电网输出功率巨大波动的“智能负载”,为中国政府提供一条适合国情、大幅度提高电网和发电装备利用效率,并将风电等可再生能源高效、低成本全部利用的新路径。

Generating capacity adequacy evaluation of large-scale, grid-connected photovoltaic systems

摘要: Large-scale, grid-connected photovoltaic systems have become an essential part of modern electric power distribution systems. In this paper, a novel approach based on the Markov method has been proposed to investigate the effects of large-scale, grid-connected photovoltaic systems on the reliability of bulk power systems. The proposed method serves as an applicable tool to estimate performance (e.g., energy yield and capacity) as well as reliability indices. The Markov method framework has been incorporated with the multi-state models to develop energy states of the photovoltaic systems in order to quantify the effects of the photovoltaic systems on the power system adequacy. Such analysis assists planners to make adequate decisions based on the economical expectations as well as to ensure the recovery of the investment costs over time. The failure states of the components of photovoltaic systems have been considered to evaluate the sensitivity analysis and the adequacy indices including loss of load expectation, and expected energy not supplied. Moreover, the impacts of transitions between failures on the reliability calculations as well as on the long- term operation of the photovoltaic systems have been illustrated. Simulation results on the Roy Billinton test system has been shown to illustrate the procedure of the proposed frame work and evaluate the reliability benefits of using large-scale, grid-connected photovoltaic system on the bulk electric power systems. The proposed method can be easily extended to estimate the operating and maintenance costs for the financial planning of the photovoltaic system projects.

非并网风电单台风机日产万吨海水淡化系统研究

摘要:

为了缓解我国淡水缺乏的现状,将海水进行淡化成了一个主要的研究方向。针对传统海水淡化方法属高耗能产业,并且使用常规能源,对环境易造成二次污染的缺陷,介绍了一种基于非并网多能源协同供电的海水淡化系统。该系统基于非并网风电原理,利用风、光、潮汐等绿色能源对海水淡化系统供电,提高了能源的利用效率,实现二氧化碳的零排放,具有很好的社会经济效益。本文设计并研发了一套单台风机日产万吨海水淡化系统,该系统利用1台2.5 MW风机对海水淡化系统供电,基于非并网风电理论,做到了风电高效、低成本、全部利用。

A naive optimization method for multi-line systems with alternative machines

摘要: The scheduling of parallel machines and the optimization of multi-line systems are two hotspots in the field of complex manufacturing systems. When the two problems are considered simultaneously, the resulting problem is much more complex than either of them. Obtaining sufficient training data for conventional data-based optimization approaches is difficult because of the high diversity of system structures. Consequently, optimization of multi-line systems with alternative machines requires a simple mechanism and must be minimally dependent on historical data. To define a general multi-line system with alternative machines, this study introduces the capability vector and matrix and the distribution vector and matrix. A naive optimization method is proposed in accordance with classic feedback control theory, and its key approaches are introduced. When a reasonable target value is provided, the proposed method can realize closed-loop optimization to the selected objective performance. Case studies are performed on a real 5/6-inch semiconductor wafer manufacturing facility and a simulated multi-line system constructed on the basis of the MiniFAB model. Results show that the proposed method can effectively and efficiently optimize various objective performance. The method demonstrates a potential for utilization in multi-objective optimization.

大规模非并网风电系统理论与实践

本文针对我国风能等可再生能源,由于其波动性而不能大规模并入电网的难题,提出了非并网风电理论。将高耗能负载改造成为能够适应电能波动的智能负载,极大地提高了可再生能源的利用率。研究了非并网风电理论的本质和内涵,并讨论了非并网风电理论的应用情况,为我国节能减排,提高电网效率和可再生能源利用率提出了一条新路径。

A method to calculate working capacity space of multi-DOF manipulator and the application in excavating

Working capacity refers to the velocity output and force output of a manipulator. It is usually be represented by output capacity space. In this paper, the method of Linear Programming and a geometric method are proposed to calculate working capacity spaces in different situations. With the consideration of gravity effect of every component, the output force capacity space of heavy duty manipulators is calculated. The results show that the effect of the gravity is a translation of the capacity space. This paper gives a method for the output capacity express especially for heavy duty manipulators. The output capacity space can be helpful to the driving parameters selection. With the consideration of the gravity effect of every component and the friction at the joints, the excavating force capacity space of the heavy-load excavating mechanism is calculated and is represented as a multi-dimensional polytope. The results show that the effect of the gravity and friction is to translational act on the capacity space.

Digital high-efficiency print forming method and device for multi-material casting molds

摘要: Sand mold 3D printing technology based on the principle of droplet ejection has undergone rapid development in recent years and has elicited increasing attention from engineers and technicians. However, current sand mold 3D printing technology exhibits several problems, such as single-material printing molds, low manufacturing efficiency, and necessary post-process drying and heating for the manufacture of sand molds. This study proposes a novel high-efficiency print forming method and device for multi-material casting molds. The proposed method is specifically related to the integrated forming of two-way coating and printing and the short-flow manufacture of roller compaction and layered heating. These processes can realize the high-efficiency print forming of high-performance sand molds. Experimental results demonstrate that the efficiency of sand mold fabrication can be increased by 200% using the proposed two-way coating and printing method. The integrated forming method for layered heating and roller compaction presented in this study effectively shortens the manufacturing process for 3D-printed sand molds, increases sand mold strength by 63.8%, and reduces resin usage by approximately 30%. The manufacture of multi-material casting molds is demonstrated on typical wheeled cast-iron parts. This research provides theoretical guidance for the engineering application of sand mold 3D printing.

Application of coupled multi-body dynamics–discrete element method for optimization of particle damper

摘要: With the application of the particle damping technology to cable vibration attenuation, the rootless cable damper overcomes the limit in installation height of existing dampers. Damping is achieved through energy dissipation by collisions and friction. In this paper, a coupled multi-body dynamics–discrete element method is proposed to simulate the damping of the damper–cable system under a harmonic excitation. The analyses are done by combining the discrete element method in EDEM and multi-body dynamics in ADAMS. The simulation results demonstrate the damping efficiency of rootless particle damper under different excitations and reveal the influence of the design parameters on its performance, including the filling ratio, particle size, coefficient of restitution, and coefficient of friction.

Scaled boundary finite element method with exact defining curves for two-dimensional linear multi-field

摘要: This paper presents an efficient and accurate numerical technique based upon the scaled boundary finite element method for the analysis of two-dimensional, linear, second-order, boundary value problems with a domain completely described by a circular defining curve. The scaled boundary finite element formulation is established in a general framework allowing single-field and multi-field problems, bounded and unbounded bodies, distributed body source, and general boundary conditions to be treated in a unified fashion. The conventional polar coordinates together with a properly selected scaling center are utilized to achieve the exact description of the circular defining curve, exact geometry of the domain, and exact spatial differential operators. Standard finite element shape functions are employed in the discretization of both trial and test functions in the circumferential direction and the resulting eigenproblem is solved by a selected efficient algorithm. The computational performance of the implemented procedure is then fully investigated for various scenarios to demonstrate the accuracy in comparison with standard linear elements.

Self-organizing method for collaboration in multi-robot system on basis of balance principle

摘要: By analyzing the operation characteristics of two subtasks that have resource dependency on each other, this paper demonstrates the impact of progress relation between the two subtasks on the whole task’s progress, and then puts forward a self-organizing principle called balance principle that keeps the individual profit between robots equal. Furthermore, an algorithm is designed for adjusting subtask selection on the basis of this principle. Simulation shows the validity of the algorithm on self-organizing task allocation in a multi-robot system.

本文提出一种针对拥有发电资产的住宅客户网络的可交易需求响应(TDR)方案,该方案强调了交易能源架构内的互操作性。完整的基于实验室的实施(据我们所知)首次实现了全面的TDR案例,该案例完全符合电气与电子工程师协会(IEEE)2030.5标准,解决了网络安全智能能源规范(SEP)应用协议的互操作性。通过使用基于Internet协议(IP) [局域网(LAN)和Wi-Fi]的通信协议和传输层安全性(TLS)1.2加密协议的商业硬件的完整系统集成来提供验证,而实证通过大量住宅智能电表数据仿真提供。需求响应(DR)方案旨在兼顾隐私问题,允许客户选择其DR响应水平,并提供激励措施以最大程度地提高其参与度。本文提出的TDR方案通过在交易代理(TA)和家庭能源管理系统(HEMS)代理之间实施SEP 2.0通信协议来解决隐私问题。客户响应由一个多入多出(MIMO)模糊控制器处理,该控制器管理客户代理和TA之间的协商。我们采用多代理系统方法实现邻域协调,通过TA在一个公共变压器上为多个客户提供服务,并在基于事件的优化过程中利用激励机制最大化客户的参与度。基于在较长时间内获取的一组智能电表数据,我们参与了多个TDR场景,并通过符合IEEE 2030.5标准的全功能实现证明了我们的方案可以在现实条件下将网络峰值功耗降低22%。

Hydromechanical model for hydraulic fractures using XFEM

摘要: In this study, a hydromechanical model for fluid flow in fractured porous media is presented. We assume viscous fluids and the coupling equations are derived from the mass and momentum balance equations for saturated porous media. The fluid flow through discrete cracks will be modelled by the extended finite element method and an implicit time integration scheme. We also present a consistent linearization of the underlying non-linear discrete equations. They are solved by the Newton-Raphson iteration procedure in combination with a line search. Furthermore, the model is extended to includes crack propagation. Finally, examples are presented to demonstrate the versatility and efficiency of this two-scale hydromechanical model. The results suggest that the presence of the fracture in a deforming, porous media has great impact on the fluid flow and deformation patterns.

M-LFM: a multi-level fusion modeling method for shape−performance integrated digital twin of complex

摘要: As a virtual representation of a specific physical asset, the digital twin has great potential for realizing the life cycle maintenance management of a dynamic system. Nevertheless, the dynamic stress concentration is generated since the state of the dynamic system changes over time. This generation of dynamic stress concentration has hindered the exploitation of the digital twin to reflect the dynamic behaviors of systems in practical engineering applications. In this context, this paper is interested in achieving real-time performance prediction of dynamic systems by developing a new digital twin framework that includes simulation data, measuring data, multi-level fusion modeling (M-LFM), visualization techniques, and fatigue analysis. To leverage its capacity, the M-LFM method combines the advantages of different surrogate models and integrates simulation and measured data, which can improve the prediction accuracy of dynamic stress concentration. A telescopic boom crane is used as an example to verify the proposed framework for stress prediction and fatigue analysis of the complex dynamic system. The results show that the M-LFM method has better performance in the computational efficiency and calculation accuracy of the stress prediction compared with the polynomial response surface method and the kriging method. In other words, the proposed framework can leverage the advantages of digital twins in a dynamic system: damage monitoring, safety assessment, and other aspects and then promote the development of digital twins in industrial fields.
